Limewood House – New Timber Frame Family Home

Vision have been lucky enough to be instructed by a previous client’s daughter who, alongside her husband and young family, were to build their first self-build home.

The first timber frame home we manufactured and installed for the family was in 2017 which you can read the details at New Build Home in Chandlers Ford.

We have put together some photos of the build in sequence, from start to finish of the timber frame installation process.

Timber frame sole plates fitted to the blockwork which is prepared for us prior to the delivery of the timber frame prefabricated panels.

Ground floor external timber frame panels propped, ready for fixing in place.

With the timber frame panels installed, the structural steel beams are lifted by the crane into position for our teams to fit them within the garage frame to create the new double garage openings.

Posi metal web joists create the new first floor level to the main house. 22mm chipboard flooring is installed to the top of the joists which acts as a working platform for the erectors to install the first floor panels.

With all the first floor panels fitted, the pre-made trusses are lifted by crane to the roof level for fitting by the erectors shaping the new roof structure to the house.

With all the timber frame structures in place, the roof can be weathered in by the roofers moving the house ever so closer to becoming weather tight (once windows & doors fitted).
