Timber Frame training centre for Walton on Thames Sea Cadets
Vision are collaborating with Ascot Build & Design Ltd to construct a new timber frame training centre for the Sunbury and Walton Sea Cadets.
The new training centre will benefit from an extremely well insulated timber frame structure that provides warmth in the winter months and a cooling effect in the summer.
Insulated external wall panels using 105mm Hybris within the studs, reflective breather membrane to the external face and a vapour control layer fitted on site to the internal face once the roof is complete.
Vision have a number of insulating materials we can offer to suit specific requirements and U Values. Hybris insulation has a honeycomb make-up and uses far less CO2 from ‘cradle-to-grave’ than rigid insulation boards.
The Hybris insulation is friction fitted within the timber panels in our own factory with an external OSB3 board and reflective breather membrane.
Internal open panel timber walls that are left open for ease of first fix trades prior to plasterboard and insulating. Internal load bearing walls feature OSB3 board to one side.
The new timber frame structure for the training centre will not only be extremely thermally efficient but also very strong and durable.
The new timber truss roof has been installed with the teams on site ready to now install the soffit and fascia.
The customer sent Vision a complimentary email as we head towards the end of the installation of this impressive timber frame build…..
