Self Build Timber Frame Home in Bracknell

Our earlier blog article about this Self Build Home in Bracknell showed the beginning stages of this new build home, where we installed the main timber frame structure. We now have further photos on the follow on stages of the build.

With the trusses installed, the roof could then be felt, battened and tiled with the internal works commencing including the drylining to the internal walls and ceilings.

Actis Boost’R Hybrid Membrane was fitted to the external face of the walls, 125mm Hybris insulation within the external wall panels which is pre-fitted in our factory and H-Control Multi-Layer vapour control to the internal face, giving the walls a U Value of 0.14.

With the trusses and roof finshes installed, the underside of the rafters could be insulated using 155mm Hybris insulation and multi-foil to the underside with batten to assist with the plasterboard. U Value for the roof 0.14.

In the photo on the right, the soffit and fascia have been installed, windows and doors fitted and the external face of the panels battened ready for the renderboard.

The photos below show the external renderboard now fitted, windows installed and roof finishes complete.

Above are photos of the internal walls which have now been drylined by our recommended installer.

We have assisted many self-builders in achieving their new home in a much quicker timescale than other methods of construction. This saves on costly labour and provides a weathertight structure in a much shorter space of time to allow for the internal first fix trades to commence straight away.
