Using timber for our houses means that there are no environmentally unfriendly materials or waste used in manufacturing and erection. Also, we source our timber from sustainable suppliers.

We are members of TRADA (The Timber Research and Development Association – www.trada.co.uk). TRADA is an international organisation that promulgates the best practices for sourcing and using wood in the construction industry.

All our timber is PEFC (The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification – www.pefc.co.uk) certified.   PEFC is an international organization that promotes sustainable forest management through independent certification.

One of our sources is SODRA (www.sodra.com/en) which is an association of over 50,000 forest owners in Sweden.  As well as being focused on the production of timber, SODRA is focused upon forestry management and environmental conservation.
